Platform II is a wooden terrace-like construction in the community garden of the town of Grafenau. The near-square base is six by seven metres and created from individual larch-wood decking boards. From it rise three different wooden constructions, in an almost dance-like way, one shaped like a staircase, the second like an arch, the third a loop. All three are arranged so as to provide places to linger and sit. The individual parts of the platform, then, are multifunctional, offering citizens a place to enjoy, whether children, young people or adults. — by Phoebe Limbach
