Some phenomena are so simple yet so good. Like standard, white photocopy paper, for example. Rolled up and with the daylight shining through it, it glows in beautiful colours. Inspired by this discovery, I built a kind of diorama box—a wooden box with a hole cut into one side to look through and view the play of colours from just one angle. This effect is so easy to create, yet it raises so many levels of meaning around our human perception of light and colour.
